Minnie P. Layman, born on December 16, 1933, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2025, at the age of 91. A beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Minnie will be remembered as a loving, faithful, and devoted woman whose strength, kindness, and unwavering spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Minnie was the cherished wife of the late Dexter G. Layman, and together they built a life centered on family, faith, and hard work. She was a dedicated mother to her sons, Edward Layman and the late Philip G. Layman, and a proud grandmother to Matthew Layman and Justin Layman, with whom she shared a special bond. She especially treasured the time spent fishing with her grandsons when they were young—a pastime filled with laughter and love.
A devout Christian, Minnie found great joy in attending church and sharing her faith with others. She was known for her warm hospitality, her green thumb in the garden, and the pride she took in maintaining an immaculate home. Always active, she never let age slow her down and was admired for her energy and grace well into her later years.
Minnie was also blessed with the loyal friendship of Carol, Sue, Loretta, and Doris Jean—women who stood by her side through life's many seasons and brought joy to her days.
Though she has left this world, Minnie's light will continue to shine in the hearts of her loved ones. Her memory is a blessing, and her legacy of love, faith, and resilience will be cherished always.
