Noe L. Garcia

It is with profound sadness that the family of Noe L. Garcia, of Detroit, announce his passing on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at the age of 87 years.

Beloved husband of the late Blaza Garcia. Loving father of Noe (Maria) Garcia Jr. Proud grandfather of Tony Garcia, Sandra Garcia, Noe (Mikki) Garcia III. Dearest great-grandfather of Kristina Garcia, Gabriel Garcia, Sophia Garcia, Mia Garcia, and Nora Garcia.

Noe was born on July 7, 1935 to the late Conrado and Petra Garcia. Noe is survived by his siblings Heriberto "Eddie" Garcia and Gloria Valdez Contreras. He is preceded in death by his brother Ruben Garcia and sisters Soila Quintanilla, Maria Flores, Rosa G. Garcia, and Maria L. Ruel. Noe will be forever missed by his many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Noe lived life to the fullest. As a child, he grew up in Texas. His family lived in the cities Millette and Cotulla. When he was a young man, he moved to Ohio. This is where Noe married the love of his life, Blaza, on January 8, 1954. They were married for 56 wonderful years and raised their family in Detroit. Noe worked hard all his life. He did labor work and also worked at a forging factory until he retired. Life was not all about work though, Noe made time for life's pleasures as well. He was an ardent sports fan. He watched the Detroit Lions and Tigers faithfully. Music was something he deeply enjoyed.Tejano music was his favorite. Noe liked to dance, travel, and "party." You always knew he was around because he would whistle or hum. Most of all Noe loved to be with his family and friends.

Noe "Mito" will be sincerely missed by his family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 1:00 - 8:00 PM at Solosy Funeral Home.

Visitation will also be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2023  10:00 AM until time of service.

Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM.

Interment will follow at Woodmere Cemetery.
