Patricia Ann Sarazin

Patricia Ann Sarazin passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on March 18, 1958, Patricia was the beloved daughter of the late Austin Shirley Cooley and the late Blanch Hatfield.

Patricia was a lifelong Downriver resident who cherished the people and community that surrounded her. She was a strong, loving, caring, compassionate, and selfless woman who gave so much of herself to the people she loved. Patricia had a heart that was always open to others, and her family knew they could count on her for love, support, and understanding.

Above all else, Patricia was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. Her son, Brian Sarazin, and her grandchildren, Brooklynn and Piper Sarazin, were the center of her world. Spending time with them was not simply something she enjoyed—it was her life. She treasured every moment with them, creating memories that they will carry with them forever. Her love for her grandchildren was evident in the way she talked about them, cared for them, and made them a priority in her life. The bond she shared with her granddaughters was one of the greatest joys of Patricia’s life.

Patricia is survived by her son; her grandchildren; her sister, Tammy (Matt) Quirouette; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Sarazin; her parents; as well as her brothers, Gary Cooley and Bill Cooley.

Patricia had a fun and unique personality, and she enjoyed the simple things that brought her comfort and happiness. She loved watching ghost shows on television, often finding entertainment in the mysterious and unexplained. And for Patricia, no list of favorite things would be complete without mentioning her love of Pepsi—a little indulgence that was very much a part of who she was.

Those who knew Patricia will remember her not only for her strength, but for the warmth and compassion she showed to others. She was the kind of person who put the needs of those she loved before her own and who found her greatest happiness in making sure her family was cared for. Her selfless nature, loving heart, and unwavering devotion to her family made her someone truly special.

Patricia’s absence will be deeply felt, especially by those who were fortunate enough to call her Mom, Grandma, Wife, Sister, and friend. Though she is no longer here to share in the everyday moments she loved so dearly, her love will continue through the family she devoted her life to and through the countless memories she leaves behind.

Patricia Ann Sarazin will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Patricia on Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Solosy Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
