It is with deep love and heartfelt remembrance that we announce the passing of Patricia Silcott, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who passed away peacefully at the age of 93.
Patricia was born in Plymouth, Michigan, and spent her life rooted in the Downriver community, most notably as a longtime resident of Lincoln Park.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Knight, and later by her cherished husband, Russell Silcott, with whom she shared many years of love and companionship. After the passing of Edward, Patricia showed remarkable strength and devotion as she raised her three children, a testament to her resilience, determination, and unwavering love for her family.
She was the loving daughter of the late Louis Curry and Stella (Miller) Curry, whose values and guidance helped shape the strong and compassionate woman she became.
Patricia dedicated many years of service to her community through her work with the City of Lincoln Park, where she retired as a Deputy Controller. She took great pride in her work and was respected for her dedication, professionalism, and commitment to the city she called home.
She was a devoted and loving mother to Kathy Carter, Robert Knight (Marla), and Ronnie Knight, who were the center of her world. Her family was her greatest pride, and she found immense joy in watching it grow through the generations.
Patricia was also a proud and loving grandmother to Ryan Carter (Melanie), David Carter (Kayla), and Joshua Knight (Kayla), and a treasured great-grandmother to Jeffery and Jaxson, who brought her endless joy and happiness.
Known for her warm heart and welcoming nature, Patricia created a home where everyone felt loved and cared for. Whether through a shared meal, a comforting word, or her steady presence, she had a way of making others feel at ease. Her strength, kindness, and quiet wisdom left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
She treasured time spent with her family and took great pleasure in life’s simple moments. Her legacy of love, resilience, and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of her children and all those who were blessed to know her.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Patricia will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
Patricia will be inurned at Ferndale Cemetery in Riverview, Michigan.
