Peacefully and surrounded by his loving family, Paul Edward Halfacer, of Lincoln Park, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024 at the age of 91 years.
Born on January 15, 1933, in Princeton, Kentucky, Paul was the son of the late William and Inos Halfacer. He was preceded in death by his brothers Cedar and John, and is survived by his dear sister Shiela (Lovis) and Phillip.
Paul was the beloved husband of Esther Halfacer, with whom he shared a beautiful journey spanning 71 years of marriage. Their love story began at Cleveland Container, where they met while working. Their bond was one of unwavering dedication and care, with Paul always ensuring Esther was cherished and provided for.
As a father, Paul was devoted to his three children. He is survived by his sons Corky (Lois) and Ernie (Dawn), while preceded in death by his daughter Paula. Paul took immense pride in his role as a grandfather to James (Ashleigh), Gary (Cortney), and Sara (Kevin). He also leaves behind an extended family, including a great-grandchild and great-great-grandchildren.
Paul was a hardworking man who dedicated himself to providing for his family. His career in the transportation industry as a truck driver was marked by diligence and commitment. He also served as a Union Steward for Teamsters Local 299 faithfully for many years, advocating for the rights of his fellow workers.
In his leisure time, Paul found joy in various activities. Whether swinging a golf club on the green, taking trips to the casino, or passionately following sports, he approached life with enthusiasm. He was an avid supporter of the University of Michigan and enjoyed cheering for the Detroit sports teams. Known for his jovial personality, Paul was a natural jokester who cherished moments of fun with his loved ones.
Throughout his life, Paul held dear his faith, family, and community. He and Esther were devoted members of St. Stephen Lutheran Church for many years, finding solace and strength in their spiritual community.
Paul Halfacer leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to those he held dear. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 1:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Solosy Funeral Home.
Instate will be on Saturday, April 6, 2024 9:30 a.m. until time of service at St. Stephen Lutheran Church of Detroit.
Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m.
The family would like to invite you to join them for a Funeral Luncheon immediately following the service at the church.
Interment will follow at Glen Eden Cemetery.
