R.J. Piszker, born on September 22, 1937, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn Piszker (née Horvath), with whom he shared a lifetime of love and adventure. R.J. was the cherished father of Michael (JoAnn) Piszker, Mary Piszker, and Ann Albertson. He was the proud grandfather of Erina Albertson, Walter Piszker, Jacqueline Piszker, and Julia Piszker. He is also survived by his brother, Louis (Kathryn) Piszker.
A gifted and dedicated musician, R.J. loved playing his violin and was an accomplished member of the Allen Park Symphony. His music brought joy to many and was a lifelong passion that reflected his soul's beauty. R.J. also spent many years of his adult life as an active member of the Knights of Columbus. The comradery he experienced within the group enriched his life, creating lasting friendships and memories.
R.J. spent his professional career at the Ford Motor Company, but his true joy came after retirement, when he and Marilyn explored the world together, creating countless memories on their many travels.
Deeply proud of his Hungarian heritage, R.J. celebrated his roots and delighted in sharing stories about the language and culture. His interest in genealogy extended to the family histories of his friends and those he met, creating lasting connections and fostering a deep sense of community.
R.J.'s warmth, talent, and genuine curiosity about life and people will be profoundly missed. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his loved ones and in the music he so masterfully played.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 from 1:00 until 8:00 PM at Solosy Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Holy Cross Hungarian Catholic Church in Delray beginning with Instate Visitation at 10:00 AM and the Mass at 10:30 AM.
Entombment will take place at Holy Sepulchre in Southfield, Michigan.
