Age 98 of Allen Park. Beloved wife of the late George J. Honer. Loving mother of George S. (Sally) Honer, Maryann (Walter) Gauntt, James G. (Roma) Honer, and Steven (Peggy) Honer. Dear sister of Kalman (the late Vivian) Szabo. Dearest grandmother of Christopher, Jennifer, Michael, Stephanie, Tiffanie, Justin, and Jacob. Preceded in death by her siblings Julius Szabo, Mary Ragalyi , Ella Sabo, Ann Koska, Steve Szabo, Frank Szabo, and Peggy Szabo.
Regina proudly served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a co-founder of the Women's War Memorial in Washington D.C. She was a former employee of Ford Motor Co. Regina was a very accomplished baker and cake decorator and she was a longtime Cub Scout Den Mother.
Visitation Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Rosary Tuesday, time pending. Instate Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass 10:00 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 9000 Laurence, Allen Park. Interment Our Lady of Hope Cemetery.
