IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rene Yvonne
Ehause
June 18, 1953 – December 20, 2025
The family of Rene Yvonne Ehause, lovingly known to many as the heart of her family, is deeply saddened to announce her passing on December 20, 2025, at the age of 72.
Rene was born on June 18, 1953, to William Slepsky and Joan Barbara (Gaber) Slepsky. She was raised in a close-knit family and carried those values of love, loyalty, and devotion with her throughout her life.
She was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Louis Dennis Ehause, with whom she built a life centered on family, stability, and unwavering support. Together, Rene and Louis became the anchor for both sides of their extended family—a trusted source of strength, wisdom, and comfort to all who gathered around them.
Rene was a devoted mother to her children, Ryan (Melissa), Nicholas (Kelly), and Shana, and an adoring grandmother to Ryan Jr., James, Havanah, Avrianna, Karis, Jacob, Luke, and Easton. Her love for her children and grandchildren was boundless and evident in every part of her life. Family always came first, and she took immense pride in each generation that followed her.
She is survived by her siblings Anthony (Judy) and Chris, and was preceded in death by her brother Gary (Tessa). Rene also held a special place in her heart for her extended family, including Rosemary, Charles, Linda, Carol, Cindy, Michael, and Judy, and she was preceded in death by Barbara, Paul, Stevey, and Johnny. To Rene, family extended far beyond titles—it was defined by love, presence, and shared life.
Rene began her career as a beautician, working alongside her mother at a salon in Delray, where she developed both her skill and her warm, welcoming spirit. Later, she transitioned into healthcare, working in hospital payroll accounting, where her attention to detail and reliability were deeply valued.
In her quieter moments, Rene found joy in reading novels and was an avid reader, rarely seen without a book close by. Her children fondly remember her always reading, especially her favorite Danielle Steel novels, which brought her comfort and escape.
Rene was known as the rock of her family—steady, compassionate, and endlessly giving. Her home and heart were always open, and many found reassurance simply in her presence. Judy and Cindy, in particular, shared a bond with Rene like little sisters, a relationship built on love, trust, and lifelong connection.
Rene Yvonne Ehause will be remembered for her deep devotion to family, her quiet strength, her nurturing spirit, and the love she so freely gave. Though her absence leaves an immeasurable void, her legacy lives on through the family she cherished and the countless lives she touched.
She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
