Robert Louis Kozuh

The family of Robert Louis Kozuh, of Lincoln Park, is saddened to announce his passing on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at the age of 90 years.

Beloved husband of Shirley M. Kozuh. Loving father of the late Robert Kozuh Jr., David (Michele) Kozuh, and Michael (Tracy) Kozuh. Proud grandfather of Krystal, Nicholas, Karen, and Aaron. Caring great-grandfather of Kaysen, Kameron, Molly, Morgan, and Braxton.

Robert was born on September 8, 1932 to the late Leopold and Catherine Kozuh in Detroit, Michigan. He is preceded in death by his brother Leopold Kozuh Jr.

Shirley was the love of Robert's life. They met at a local bus stop. Every day, while driving by on his way to work, Robert would eye a gorgeous lady sitting at the stop waiting for the bus to arrive. One day, he finally worked up the nerve to ask if she would like a ride. Little did Shirley know that the man she said yes to would bring her happiness in marriage for 62 1/2 years. After getting married, they moved to Lincoln Park and raised a beautiful family. Robert was always there to care for his family in any way he could. Throughout his working years, he worked for General Motors as a hi-lo driver.

Robert enjoyed living life to the fullest. He especially loved to be out in nature. Going on walks, visiting the park, and taking trips up north always topped his favorite things to do. Before falling ill, he enjoyed exercising whenever he could. He also took pleasure in working on cars.

Robert's legacy of love and hard work will live on through all who knew him. He will be sincerely missed by his family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 7th, 2023  1:00 - 8:00 PM at Solosy Funeral Home.  Military Honors Ceremony at 5:00 PM.

Instate will follow on Monday, May 8th  9:30 AM until time of Funeral Mass 10:00 AM at Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church.

Interment will follow at Michigan Memorial Park & Cemetery.  (Time To Be Announced)
