Robert A. Krajcz, affectionately known as Robi, passed away on August 23, 2024, at the age of 42. Born on September 1, 1981, in Satu Mare, Romania, Robi was the cherished son of Anna Vinkler and the late Eugene Turdean. He leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and craftsmanship that will be remembered by all who knew him.
Robi is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Krajcz, and their three children, Marton, Lorant, and Vivien, who were the light of his life. He was also a devoted brother to Anamaria and her husband, Attila, and a loving uncle and godfather to his nephew, Attila-Gabor. Robi was surrounded by many good friends who will miss his warm presence and generous spirit.
Robi's home was a reflection of his artistry and care, particularly the beautiful pond in his backyard, filled with Koi fish, some of which have thrived for over a decade. This was thanks, in part, to the pergola he built over the pond to protect his beloved fish from the cranes, a testament to his meticulous nature and love for creating lasting beauty.
As the current President of the Hungarian American Cultural Center, Robi was deeply committed to preserving and celebrating his heritage. He and Elizabeth were members of the Csipke dance group for over 17 years, where they shared their love of traditional Hungarian dance with their community.
A skilled trade tile contractor, Robi took immense pride in his work, always ensuring it was done with precision and durability. His eye for detail and commitment to excellence was evident in everything he did, from his work to the creative touches in his home, such as the stunning lower stone façade he and Elizabeth crafted from leftover granite pieces.
Robi was also a man of faith and service, serving as an usher at Holy Cross Catholic Church, where he was always ready to help, whether it was ringing the bell or lending a hand wherever needed. It was at Holy Cross that he met Elizabeth in their young adult years, sparking a lifelong partnership filled with love and shared passions.
Robi's love for cars, particularly his cherished Camaro, was well known. He enjoyed working on cars and always strived to make them run perfectly. He was also a skilled cook, especially at the Hungarian club, where he took charge of the annual pig roast, a tradition he led with pride.
Family was at the center of Robi's life. He worked tirelessly to provide for his loved ones and found great joy in spending time with them, especially when his mother visited and made some of his favorite Hungarian dishes.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Marton, Lorant, and Vivien's college fund, ensuring that Robi's dedication to his family's future continues to inspire and support them in the years to come. Donations can be made directly to the family or through this GoFundMe link Support the Krajcz Family .
Robi's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, as a man who lived fully, loved deeply, and left the world a more beautiful place through his many talents and unwavering dedication.
