Robert Lee Toon

Robert Lee Toon, age 93, passed away on 25 April 2026. A beloved son, brother, uncle, father, grandfather, and friend. In his earlier years, he enjoyed getting together with family and friends and was known for his amazing barbecue cookouts, using his father’s famous BBQ sauce. Bob loved golf and will be remembered for his exceptional golfing skills; to the envy of many of his younger golfing buddies and partners. He swam and exercised faithfully Monday through Saturday at the YMCA for over 25 years. He is survived by his brother, John R. Toon Sr, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Hilary E. Toon Sr. and Mattie M. (Allen) Toon; his beloved wife of 47 years, Mary Joan Toon; stepson, Thomas Rowlands; brothers, Hilary and Samuel; sisters, Irene, Margaret, Francis and Martha. 

Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church. 

Memorial Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m.
