Louis Ronald Krzeczkowski, lovingly known as "Ron," passed away on September 2, 2024, at the age of 77. Born in Detroit, Michigan, on June 11, 1947, to the late Louis and Sophie (Nadolny) Krzeczkowski, Ron grew up with a deep appreciation for family, friendship, and his Polish heritage. He leaves behind his son, Ryan Krzeczkowski, and countless beloved family members and friends whose lives he touched. He was the brother of Kenneth (Donna) Kenson and Eddie (the late Christine) Krzeczkowski, as well as a cherished nephew and uncle.
Ron attended Chadsey High School in Detroit before proudly serving his country in the United States Army. After his military service, he pursued a career in Electronic Engineering, a field that he was passionate about. He dedicated many years to his work at Ford Motor Company as a technician, earning respect for his expertise and work ethic until his retirement.
A man of many interests, Ron embraced all kinds of music. Known as "Polka Ron," his vast playlists covered every genre imaginable, and his love for polka dancing was a joyful tribute to his Polish roots. He was a fierce competitor at card games like Skip-Bo and Euchre, never backing down from a challenge and always eager to win.
Ron was known for his fun-loving spirit, especially during the holidays. Halloween was one of his favorite times of year, and he was always the life of the party with his creative costumes. He also had a special fondness for his birthday celebrations, always making sure there were balloons and cake to mark the occasion.
Ron loved to travel, and one of his greatest passions was riding the rails, especially his memorable trip on the 1946 steam engine. He enjoyed short excursions, especially with friends, and he had a deep connection to the great outdoors, particularly the northern parts of Michigan. An avid boater, Ron owned his own boat and took great pleasure in teaching others about boat safety and practices.
He will be remembered as a kind, caring gentleman who always looked out for others and strived to do the right thing. Never one to complain, Ron bore his troubles silently, focusing instead on being helpful and supportive to his family and friends.
Ron's presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of kindness, laughter, and love will live on in the memories of all who knew him.
