Ronald A. Yonovich. April 2, 1935-December 24, 2020.  Ronald A. Yonovich, aged 85, formerly of New Boston, died peacefully Thursday, December 24, 2020 at the Cunningham's Trenton Senior Residence.  The family chose private services after cremation provided by the John K. Solosy Funeral Home in Lincoln Park, MI.  Burial will be in the Northview Cemetery in Dearborn, MI attended by immediate family only.

Born April 2, 1935 in Detroit, Ronald was the child of Elwilda (formerly Yonovich) and Morris Hall.  He married his best friend and soul mate Janet (Andrews) Yonovich in 1957.  Ronald and Janet were married for 57 years, until Janet's death in early 2015.  They had two daughters, Cindy and Cathy.

Ronald was a loving and devoted husband, and a wonderful and caring father.  He was also a great friend and good neighbor to many. He was truly loved and admired by his daughters for being a self-made man who pulled himself up by his own bootstraps to provide a wonderful, stable, and secure home for his family.  He loved, defended, and cared for his family unconditionally.

Ronald had a long, varied career at Huron Valley Steel, Inc., in Belleville MI.  He was proud of the company and his work, retiring in 1991 after 40 years.  Working for HVS led Ronald to become friends with HVS owners, the late Leonard and Irma Fritz, and their family members, whom he loved and cherished. Ronald regarded Leonard Fritz as a mentor and father figure, as well as a great friend.

Ronald was avid outdoors-man who loved to hunt and fish in every season, often vacationing in northern Michigan.  He also enjoyed landscaping his yard, maintaining his home, and regular trips to local casinos and auctions.  In addition, Ronald and Janet hosted elaborate holiday celebrations for family and friends in their New Boston home for many years.

Cindy and Cathy want to extend their profound thanks to Patrick and Rhonda Cunningham, owners of the Cunningham's Trenton Senior Residence and their staff.  They gave Ronald years of loving and compassionate care, with unsurpassed medical expertise, after he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.  They also graciously provided compassionate hospice care for Ronald after he suffered a recent stroke.

Ronald is survived by his daughters Cindy Yonovich, and Cathy Verner & Cathy's partner Domenic Greco of Monroe, MI.  He is also survived by his brothers Jerry (Priscilla) Davie of Florida, Dick (Viola) Yonovich of New York, Jack Yonovich of northern Michigan, and numerous nieces and nephews. His sister Lynne Hall, and brothers Morris Hall & Sandy McKinstry preceded him in death.
