The family of Ruth Ann Oskarek, age 84 of Lincoln Park are saddened to announce her passing on July 24, 2023.
Beloved wife of John Oskarek. Loving mother of Vicky (John) Barton, John Oskarek Jr., Paul (Sandy) Oskarek, Michael Oskarek and the late Catherine (the late Robert) Wethington. Dearest sister of Mary Jo (Lewis) Roy, the late Paul Stover, Coralee (the late John) Poole, and the late Florence (the late Bob) Lemay. Dear grandmother of 14, great-grandmother of 17 and great-great-grandmother of 6. Ruth also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Throughout life, Ruth always found time for the things she loved. Loving and caring for her children was always her first priority. She often had her hands full, but Ruth found the time to help out as a crossing guard. Her interests were as varied as they were heartfelt. As a passionate collector of dolls, Ruth found joy in discovering and adding new additions to her collection. Each doll held its own unique story that she was happy to share with others. Ruth's love for flea markets was well-known among her friends and family. Fun was never lacking in her life. She and her sisters were known to "cut a mean rug" on the dance floor during the many weddings and parties they attended over the years.
Ruth will be sincerely missed by all who knew her.
