Sheilia Darlene Crandall

January 5, 1965 — January 10, 2026

Dearborn Heights

Sheilia Darlene Crandall, age 61, of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026, at her home. She was born on January 5, 1965, in Detroit, Michigan, to Darlene (Paddock) Elswick and the late Bacel Elswick.

Sheilia lived a life marked by strength, loyalty, and a deep love for the people closest to her. A proud mother and devoted grandmother, her heart belonged most of all to her family. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Nancy and Robert Harris and Wayne Beamon, and by her cherished grandchildren, Zack Harris, Jayce Beamon, Kalib Harris, and Hayden Harris. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy—Sheilia never missed a chance to show up for them. Even when her health made it difficult, she still made sure she was there for their games, events, and milestones. Whether cheering from the stands or nodding off in a lawn chair at Kalib’s baseball game, she was exactly where she wanted to be: with them.

She is also survived by her brother, Jeffrey Elswick, and her dear longtime friend, Randy Austin, who shared many meaningful moments with her. Sheilia was also deeply devoted to her beloved cat, Zera, who was a constant companion and source of comfort.

Sheilia found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved camping with friends at The Oaks in Jackson, relaxing outdoors, and soaking in the peace of nature. She was a fan of Svengoolie, classic movies, and music that reflected her bold, free-spirited personality—ranging from Lynyrd Skynyrd and Journey to Snoop Dogg and Eminem. She also had a fondness for wolves and butterflies, symbols of strength, freedom, and transformation that suited her perfectly.

Those who knew Sheilia will remember her for her fierce love, her loyal heart, and her unfiltered, genuine way of being. She was never afraid to be herself, and she loved deeply and honestly.

A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Solosy Funeral Home, 3206 Fort Street, Lincoln Park, Michigan. A memorial service will begin at 7:30 PM.

Sheilia’s legacy lives on in the laughter of her grandchildren, the love of her family, and the countless memories shared by those who were blessed to know her.
