Teresa Lee Theisen, lovingly known for her warm smile and infectious laugh, passed away on January 3, 2026, at the age of 69. She was born on September 4, 1956.
Teresa grew up in Lincoln Park, Michigan, where she formed lifelong roots and connections that remained close to her heart throughout her life. She was a loving mother to Erich (Shannon) Theisen and Alyssa Theisen, and she was preceded in death by her beloved son, Aaron Theisen, whose memory she carried with her always. She was very proud of her grandchildren, Ariel Theisen and Peyton Theisen.
She is also survived by her dear sisters, Vicky (Carl) Sayles and Edie (the late Jay) Floyd. Teresa cherished her role as an aunt and is lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews: Austin Floyd, Carl Sayles, Ashley Floyd, Jesse Sayles, and Asa Sayles.
Teresa was blessed with meaningful friendships, including a special bond with Alicia Booth, whose presence brought comfort and companionship.
In her everyday life, Teresa found happiness in the simple pleasures she loved most. She enjoyed playing bingo, crafting, working on puzzles and crossword puzzles, coloring, and faithfully watching Wheel of Fortune. These quiet moments reflected her gentle nature and thoughtful spirit. Above all, Teresa was known for her bright smile and joyful laugh, which could instantly light up a room and bring comfort to those around her.
Teresa’s legacy is one of love, kindness, and enduring family bonds. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her warmth and laughter will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
