Tillie Shank

Tillie Shank, of Allen Park, Michigan gained her eternal wings on December 21, 2024 at the age of 97. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tillie Shank, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. Tillie's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Tillie was the dear wife of the late Donald L. Shank and the mother of Donald L. Shank Jr. and the late Dana (Kathy) Shank. As a grandmother, Tillie was a source of joy and wisdom, leaving behind memories filled with love for Michelle (Mike) Garcia, Dana A. Shank II, Rebecca Shank, and bonus-granddaughter Michele Mack-Hudgin. Her proud role as a great-grandmother brought her immeasurable happiness, as she doted on Malia Garcia, Maddox Garcia, and Tripp Shank.

Tillie also shared a special bond with her nieces, especially Ilona Meyer, Valeria Simmons, and the deeply cherished Vickie Kujawski. Tillie is survived by her nephew Frank Szakaly Jr and was preceded in death by her siblings Frank Szakaly and Mary Morick. The love she gave extended far beyond her immediate family, and she was a friend and confidant to many.

A private service was held on Friday, December 27, 2024, in accordance with Tillie's wishes. She was laid to rest at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery.

While her presence will be deeply missed, her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
