Tressa Komara

On Thursday, February 16, 2023, Tressa Komara, of Allen Park, passed away at the age of 52 years.

Beloved wife and best friend of Kenneth Komara. Loving daughter of the late Andrea Hornok. Caring godmother of Nicole Wilcox and Sarah Suba. Dearest cousin of Robert Kovacs, Patricia & Tom Gross, Elizabeth Roberts & Bethany Hopkins, Caroline & Craig Naumowicz, Ryan Limes, Kelly & Moussa Baydoun, Jennifer & Bill Konkel, Melody & Keith Shamma, Harmony Davis & Tony Varnadore, Dina Simmonds, Joshua Wilcox, and Laura & Jeff Wilcox. Loving niece of the late Rose & the late Robert Limes, Dorothy & Leroy Roberts, Kathy Hornok & the late Jim Yeager, Louis & Sandra Hornok, Robert & Connie Hornok, James & Kim Hornok, Francis & Raymond Simmonds, and the late Tony Hornok. Dear sister-in-law of Pam & Tom, Kim & Joe, the late Richard Kent, Karen, Kathy & Brian, Kevin, Kirk, Kirsten & Don.

Tressa was born in Detroit, Michigan. This is where she met the love of her life, Kenneth, through mutual friends. They've been together for 35 years. They have been together since 1988 and in 2005 we're joined in marriage.

She was known for being the life of the party. Tressa enjoyed all genres of music, but some of her favorites were Top 40's of the 80's, 90's and Classical. It was not uncommon to find her dancing to any music she could. Her smile was as bright as her fun personality. She was "the glue" and "the ring leader." People always loved to be around her and good conversation was never lacking.

Tressa was also a devote Catholic and loved going to church. Her faith was extremely important to her. She was a member of Holy Cross Hungarian Catholic Church in Detroit. Tressa will be missed and fondly remembered by her church family.

A strong work ethic was also important to Tressa. She worked for Ideal Lease for 25 years and in 2019 she started working for Kenworth Trucking as a leasing manager. She will be dearly missed by many co-workers and friends.

Visitation will be on Monday, February 20, 2023, 1:00 - 7:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:30 pm. at the Solosy Funeral Home.

Mass will be on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Hungarian Catholic Church.

Burial will take place at St. Hedwig Cemetery in Dearborn Heights directly following Mass.
