William was the proud father of Matthew Lipkovich and David Lipkovich, and a loving grandfather to Heather. He was a beloved brother to Al Wells and the late Mary Horvath. He is survived by nieces and nephews Danny, Michael, Amanda, and Lisa. His family will hold his memory close to their hearts.
William's life was marked by his strong work ethic and dedication. He served in the United States Air Force for four years, stationed primarily in the frigid landscapes of Greenland. His responsibilities included safeguarding the nation from potential security threats, a duty he executed with diligence. Despite the harsh conditions, William found solace in the arctic wildlife, particularly the charming Arctic foxes that would visit the base, often begging for scraps of food.
After his military service, William embarked on a remarkable career with Ford Motor Company, where he devoted over 30 years of service as a Parts & Service Analyst. Even after retiring, his passion for his work led him to accept a position with a third-party company, allowing him to continue his valued contributions and reconnect with the Ford family.
Beyond his professional life, William found joy in the outdoors and hunting, hobbies that brought him immense pleasure. He also possessed a collection of guns, reflecting his appreciation for craftsmanship and the history of weaponry.
William Matthew Lipkovich will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to his family, his dedication to his country, and his strong work ethic. His legacy lives on through the memories he shared and the impact he made on the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the warmth of the love he inspired in others.
A private cremation will be held in the care of Solosy Funeral Home.
