It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Yolanda Llanes on January 13, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on August 22, 1932, Yolanda was a cherished matriarch, devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother.
Yolanda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jesus Llanes, and her children, Hilda and Jesus Jr. She leaves behind a legacy of love and family through her surviving children: Anita, Dolores, Trinidad, Olga, Juan, Andres, Roberto, Rodolfo, and Laura. She was a treasured grandmother to 107 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, each of whom she adored and cherished.
Yolanda was known for her vibrant spirit and love for life. She found joy in playing Bingo and Poker, and her competitive spirit was matched only by her loyalty as a fervent fan of the San Francisco 49ers and the Detroit Tigers. Her laughter and warmth brought comfort to all who knew her.
Family and friends are invited to honor Yolanda's life during a visitation on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Solosy Funeral Home in Lincoln Park, with a Rosary Prayer Service at 7:00 PM.
On Saturday, January 18, 2025, instate visitation will begin at 9:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Andre Bessette Parish in Ecorse. Yolanda will be laid to rest immediately following the Mass at Woodmere Cemetery in Detroit.
Yolanda's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be greatly missed but fondly remembered.
